With the the new year upon us, FamilyTreeDNA seems to have taken on the New Year’s resolution to offer better pricing and they have come out of the gates with some very competitive offerings for their new standardized pricing. According to FTDNA, the new pricing is a result of “systemic improvements to the productions process” which have lowered their costs. As a result, both the initial DNA testing costs as well as the upgrade pricing have been lowered. It is FTDNA’s hope that this new pricing will encourage both more testing as well as testing at higher levels.
